Yesterday evening, March 1, 2015, your friendly, dedicated Reunion Committee got together for some potluck sustenance and hard work on the 40-Year Reunion planning. We all met at Maureen’s house and gobbled down some food. Then we stickered and stamped the “Save the Date” post cards, prepping them to go in the mail.

We’re using the same artwork that classmate Maureen Hoffmann designed 10 years ago for the 30-Year Reunion, reminiscent of the iconic artwork of artist, Peter Max.

(In order to save our precious few funds, we’re only sending out post cards to those classmates for whom we have no email address. We’re trying to do as much as possible through online communications to save money on printing and mailing costs. So make sure we have your email address!)

HHS-Committee Pot Luck

Mark Meyer, Cathy Hutchison Bellah, Conn McQuinn (HHS Class of ’74), Betsy Wildish McQuinn and Phil Isernio gather ’round the bevy of potluck dishes, fueling themselves for the “hard work” of stickering the post cards.

Arden Gremmert, Eva Doherty Gremmert, Betsy Wildish McQuinn and Mark Meyer chat and laugh as they put address labels and stamps on the post cards. “Uga-chacka” (Hooked on a Feeling) is playing in the background, by special request of Betsy. It’s “her” song.

Neil Ball, Laurie Lee Ball and Phil Isernio are quiet and concentrating on the task at hand.

“Blank” post cards can be customized by whatever label we decide to stick onto them. We can use these forever.

After eating lots of good food and applying lots of good stamps, we discussed some of the myriad details required to make the reunion happen.

Being involved with the Reunion Committee activities is lots of fun and there’s always something to do. If you’d like to get involved, send us an email. We meet once a month or so and divvy up the to-do list.
