In Memoriam: Betty Leetch

February 28, 1957 – April 20, 2023

After graduation from high school, Betty went on to get her AA Degree from South Seattle Community College. She then dabbled in real estate, worked for the phone company, which was US West at the time, showed her artistic flair by making flower boxes and painting them (handy with a saw), and painting interior walls with accent designs as a side job while following another calling of hers to be an esthetician. She worked at “Head to Toe” Day Spa in West Seattle for about ten years, where she met many new friends, while keeping in touch with the wonderful girls she grew up with in Burien on 146th street. Betty loved ice skating and had dreams of being a figure skater. She also played softball and tennis for fun. She enjoyed roller blading on Alki Beach, biking, hiking, was a great dancer and loved music.

“Betty had a very open, honest kindness that she shared with anyone lucky enough to cross paths with her. She cared deeply and unconditionally about her family and friends. She was always encouraging me to exercise, eat healthy foods, and enjoy life. She made a huge positive impact on my life, and I will always remember her with love and appreciation.”
